CARE INSTRUCTIONS FOR MY DESIGNS

Please treat all knitwear as a delicate fabric. If it’s cared for correctly, your hand knit will last you for a lifetime. Pure wool doesn’t need to be washed as often as other textiles, because to a degree, it can repel dirt instead of attract it. Wool also wicks away moisture. Between washes, it can be sprayed with a delicate fabric freshener.

Washing - Hand wash/soak only in cool temperature using a specialist wool laundry detergent. I use a shallow basin. Alternatively, you can also use shampoo and a splash of distilled white vinegar to soften. Pure wool is derived from the same natural proteins and keratins as human hair. Do not machine wash or dry clean as this will shrink and felt your hand knit.

Drying - Dry flat only, preferably on a towel. Do not tumble dry or line dry dry.

Storing - Store folded in a drawer only, preferably with the included lavender sachet or with a cedarwood sachet to help protect against moths. Do not hang up your knitwear as this will stretch your garment.
